                    From your Constable
Greetings,

2014 is here, and as I look back over the past year, I am very proud that we have upheld the standards I have set forth for this office. This past year, for the most part, has been without incident. This is a good thing when it comes to
this type of work!

We have continued my policy of mandatory pistol qualification requirements, as well as the 2013 changes below.

2013 Update

Continued agreement with PSCC to become the first Constable's Office in Boyd County to have radio privileges and radio designators.

      Code
Enforcement has coupled with the Sheriff's Department providing safety/security surrounding Meth lab busts.

       Coupled with several new
attorneys to provide prompt, effective paper service for the courts.

                           2012 Changes

An application process, as well as qualifications to become Deputy Constable, including a background check.

Access to Courtnet for my Deputies working Code Enforcement. This helps them obtain vital information for their safety.

An agreement with 911 dispatching at PSCC so that information can be obtained through the National Crime Information Computer, as well as local warrants.

As we enter 2014, we are already facing many obstacles, along with possible changes from the Ky. Legislature. As you can see, change is a slow process, but can be accomplished with the right leadership. I look forward to new challenges, as we seek to make this office more professional. As always, I welcome your comments, and suggestions on how we can make your District 1 Constable's Office better.

Thank you,

 Tim Woods
