From your Constable
2013 is here, and as I look back over the past year, I am very proud that we have upheld the standards I set forth for this office. One of our most important achievements of 2012 is the agreement with PSCC to become the first Constable's Office in Boyd County to have radio privelages, and radio designators. This has provided District 1, and Deputies assigned to Code Enforcement, constant communication with dispatch for their safety and access to more information. This, along with new mobile radios, have provided a better sense of security for overall officer safety. For this, I want to thank the PSCC Board of Directors, and the Boyd County Fiscal Court.
We have continued my policy of mandatory pistol qualification requirements, as well as the 2012 changes below.
An application process, as well as qualifications to become Deputy Constable, including a background check.
Access to Courtnet for my Deputies working Code Enforcement. This helps them obtain vital information for their safety.
An agreement with 911 dispatching at PSCC so that information can be obtained through the National Crime Information Computer, as well as local warrants.
As we enter 2013, we are already facing many obstacles, along with possible changes mandated from the Ky. Legislature. I look forward to these challenges, as we seek to make this office more professional. As always, I welcome your comments, and suggestions on how we can make your District 1 Constable's Office better.
